I've got a review of another one on the way too!RetroKingSimonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05609689348601442117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-9354832666187644542012-04-26T16:48:15.740+01:002012-04-26T16:48:15.740+01:00Simon Actually, I'm not sure how they'd pu...Simon Actually, I'm not sure how they'd pull this game off on the GG. It probably would be kind of difficult, but they made an SMS version, right? If so, a GG port would have been pretty easy, I would think. Anyway, don't mind me, I'm just in the middle of a GG obsession for some dumb reason :PBryan Ochallahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16256591698209804728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-54628932607981336882012-04-21T09:01:42.741+01:002012-04-21T09:01:42.741+01:00Cheers Sean, I agree with you about its simplistic...Cheers Sean, I agree with you about its simplistic looks - it does make it an appealing game. Considering how much older the arcade version is though, I wouldn't have minded seeing a few things like sparkly effects and more colours. Certainly doesn't make it a bad game though, I love it! :)RetroKingSimonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05609689348601442117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-78283835311339951232012-04-21T02:10:17.113+01:002012-04-21T02:10:17.113+01:00Nice review. As someone who prefers games with primitive graphics the fact that they didn`t push the MD technology is actually a selling point to me, particularly in light of how awesome those levels look. Consider this one added to my shopping list:)Seanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13681778110046124243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-38751488416200643922012-04-20T10:28:41.302+01:002012-04-20T10:28:41.302+01:00Do you think a Game Gear version would've need...Do you think a Game Gear version would've need a zoomed-in perspective? The sprites are pretty small after all :) It would've made an ideal release for a system like that though - quick five minute fix on the train which turns into an hours play and makes you miss your stop! :P As for the MD version - classic example of gameplay over graphics :)RetroKingSimonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05609689348601442117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-227569636509359102012-04-20T00:29:07.720+01:002012-04-20T00:29:07.720+01:00Fully agree with your thoughts on this one, Simon....Fully agree with your thoughts on this one, Simon. A really nice little game -- nothing fancy or amazing, but still a lot of fun. For some reason I'm wishing Sega would have made a GameGear version, too, but I'm guessing that's just because I'm currently obsessed with the GameGear :)Bryan Ochallahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16256591698209804728noreply@blogger.com
