The previous one I had a Master System and couldn't afford many games as I was still at school while the subsequent generation was the one I had less interest in (Saturn and PlayStation). Well, to begin with at least :PRetroKingSimonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05609689348601442117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-60232352350507936012014-02-16T01:51:59.266+00:002014-02-16T01:51:59.266+00:00Nice post!

I got an NES in 1989, played it for a couple of years and then kind of got out of gaming (except on the NES or ocassionally at my friend`s house on his Master System) until my early 20s when my roommate at the time got an N64.

Looking back and now owning all the consoles from that gen, I have a huge soft spot for both the PC Engine and Mega Drive which I don`t quite have for the Super Famicom. I don`t know why that is. The SFC has some amazing games, particularly SMB World, but something just appeals to me about the MD and PCE. It might be the quality of their game selection, both seem to have a higher proportion of games that I like than the SFC, whose catalogue is weighed down with a bunch of text heavy RPGs in Japan, which aren`t my thing.

Anyway, interested post! It is cool to read about memories from back in the actual day!Seanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13681778110046124243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-10134661948707720282014-02-14T14:21:16.349+00:002014-02-14T14:21:16.349+00:00Yeah, it certainly bests the MD in that regard, hu...Yeah, it certainly bests the MD in that regard, huh? I keep meaning to play Terranigma and Secret of Mana... and another one I can't remember the name of now. There are so many RPG's I need to play :(RetroKingSimonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05609689348601442117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-24848080467046649642014-02-14T14:06:21.590+00:002014-02-14T14:06:21.590+00:00Never played R-Type or Exhaust Heat, but those oth...Never played R-Type or Exhaust Heat, but those other titles were favorites of mine. SNES was a bit later getting into my home than some of the other consoles. What I recall liking best was all the RPG titles I wound up playing on it.Chalgyrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10879608925209948366noreply@blogger.com
