I'll certainly try the two you mention though! I never had a 32X due to my experience with the MCD but I've heard it has few titles of note. I'll find out soon, I have a feature planned for it :)RetroKingSimonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05609689348601442117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-40359529462813489352012-07-24T18:52:42.329+01:002012-07-24T18:52:42.329+01:00I also have a MCD that I've yet to use with on...I also have a MCD that I've yet to use with only three games: Keio Flying Squadron, Double Switch and Time Gal. The Mega CD has some duffers but looks pretty decent to me so I hope to set it up and get some more games for it. The 32X is where the real crapfest begins! I had one of those briefly and it was a pain to have set up with all the cables and extra PSU (three massive PSU bricks if you have a MD/MCD/32X set-up!).

I look forward to reading more MCD stuff as and when you do it because it will inevitably inspire me to actually play the thing :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-16136656121864958782012-07-24T14:45:37.015+01:002012-07-24T14:45:37.015+01:00That's assuming I can get them working on the ...That's assuming I can get them working on the emulator to grab screenshots - MCD games are a bitch in that regard. I only looked at five games here and three of them wouldn't work. I have played, but not completed: FFIII, FFVII, FFXIII, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Dragon Quest IX and many more.StickHeadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14222186359760273096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-17015535660953988642012-07-24T12:20:26.355+01:002012-07-24T12:20:26.355+01:00Hi Marc :) Thanks, I try to include at least a bit...Hi Marc :) Thanks, I try to include at least a bit of personal stuff, otherwise I end up sounding like an instruction manual :( If you like RPG's there are loads of top ones on the MCD - all the ones Bryan mentioned for starters - but I'll be covering some of the others very soon so keep your eyes open! ;)RetroKingSimonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05609689348601442117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-22089011596487512722012-07-24T11:12:46.138+01:002012-07-24T11:12:46.138+01:00That was a great read, I like it when you add in a...That was a great read, I like it when you add in a bit of personal history, very interesting!

I have a MegaCD in the loft which I've never actually used, oh for shame! To be fair, I only have one game for it (Dungeon Master II) as the muppets at Game (may have been Electronics Boutique at that point) forgot to put the games in the boxes, and subsequently lost them! I did go back and get a sizeable refund, though! Which titles would you recommend, should I resurrect it from the loft?StickHeadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14222186359760273096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-56706716716974753162012-07-23T21:51:05.024+01:002012-07-23T21:51:05.024+01:00Yeah, it did get some great games eventually, I...Yeah, it did get some great games eventually, I'm looking forward to playing some of them myself soon, including a few of the ones you mentioned :)RetroKingSimonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05609689348601442117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-63722006859704784382012-07-23T21:43:15.792+01:002012-07-23T21:43:15.792+01:00I've always wanted a Mega CD/Sega CD, although...I've always wanted a Mega CD/Sega CD, although not for any of the games mentioned here. The ones I want: Dark Wizard, Keio's Flying Squadron, Lunar and Lunar: Eternal Blue, Popful Mail, Shining Force CD and a few others.

Actually, I played a nice bit of both Lunar games back in the day thanks to my friendly, local grocery store, which not only rented out Sega CD games, but Sega CDX systems, too.Bryan Ochallahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16256591698209804728noreply@blogger.com
