Could probably say the same about the rest of the 'Soldier' series too!RetroKingSimonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05609689348601442117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-1579115126206394892018-10-25T18:29:11.355+01:002018-10-25T18:29:11.355+01:00Super Star Soldier is not only my favourite PC-Eng...Super Star Soldier is not only my favourite PC-Engine shooter, but my favourite vertical shooter "full stop". Plays a lot like GunHed, but it also has a time attack mode and "caravan mode", in which you have two or five minutes on a special course to score as many points as possible, with all sorts of hidden bonuses and so on. Great for competitions between friends and so on.

And the music's fantastic too!TwoHeadedBoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14946450138433182058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-25842819934649141712015-04-02T14:34:35.253+01:002015-04-02T14:34:35.253+01:00This was one of my earliest lists here. Aside from a hilarious parody of the genre it is also a very good shmup and probably the game that sees the most action on my PC Engine.DazAdamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17267950761444367872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-79671580875238814482010-09-11T19:03:57.175+01:002010-09-11T19:03:57.175+01:00Cheers guys :)

But I haven't played those yet! :PRetroKingSimonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05609689348601442117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5455082771543433548.post-77155255481510829912010-09-10T21:02:54.636+01:002010-09-10T21:02:54.636+01:00not controversial at all si, totally agree with yo...not controversial at all si, totally agree with you on all of those. I'm going to fire that up on my modded XBox at the first opportunity. Was it a HuCard or CD release?

Gunhed, Gradius and R-Type are all awesome. I haven't played Image Fight before so I'll give that a go too.StickHeadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14222186359760273096noreply@blogger.com
